MCCARTHY JR., ROBERT J., 53, of Casselberry, FL passed away on
Thursday, November 22, 2007. He was born in Bridgeport, CT on May
25, 1954. Mr. McCarthy will always be remembered for his love and
dedication to his family, his friends, and to his community. He was
a proud founder and CEO of The Children's Rights Foundation (www.preventchildabusenow.org/
) providing services in child abuse prevention and children's rights
issues since 1990. He served as Children's Advocate within the
Seminole County Court System, and was board member and senior
contributor to numerous local and national community service
organizations. Mr. McCarthy's greatest gift was his ability to help
all of us feel loved, protected, and a bit better about ourselves
and the world we live. Mr. McCarthy is predeceased by his mother,
Margaret, and survived by his father, Robert Sr.; his children,
Michelle her husband Dustin, Kristin, Patrick, Jackie, and Kevin;
his brothers, Barry and Brian his wife Kathy and their children
Colin, Michael and Emily and his beloved fiancé, Valerie Kurtz and
her children, Sharon and Sabrina. A memorial celebration of Mr.
McCarthy's life is planned to take place in January 2008 at a time
